It costs more money to manufacture and develop lenses that can have the same wide aperture from zoomed out to zoomed in. Having the widest aperture (small number) change as you zoom is something lens manufacturers do to produce inexpensive lenses (less than $500). When the lens is zoomed out (at the smallest focal length) you can probably set the aperture to f/3.5 but when you zoom the lens you can only get that aperture opened up to f/5.6 which makes it hard to get enough light indoors. This is most often something photographers see in very inexpensive lenses.Ĭongratulations! You are far enough along in your photographic journey to have noticed that your lens doesn’t allow you to set the widest open aperture at all focal lengths. The aperture changes as you zoom your lens because the lens does not physically support the widest (smallest number) aperture at all focal lengths of the lens. I keep forgetting to search the forums.įor a few weeks at least, I'll be bumping around W101 when I have time to play. This site is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates and Adorama Affiliate programs. I also need to figure out how I get to Grizzlehelm.

When I figure out where to find the new auction house features I may just sell the stuff for gold. I don’t have the time and I’m not in the mood for a grind. Here again, I read a lot of complaints about the crafting system so I’ll pass for now. I’ve been harvesting items but not crafting. I don’t want or need something that size when there’s no real benefit or functionality tied to house. For my tastes the houses (islands) are too big.

Since others can’t freely visit your room I personally don’t see the point. I’m not going out of my way to decorate my room. I was so excited by the variety of RP-rich gear, I dubbed myself a persona named Melanie Clotheshorse, through which I wrote a few quick stories. I love that I can now merge what I want to look like with what I need to wear for combat. Bag space, which can’t be increased, is “just enough” for holding personal items and vendor trash. It was inconvenient carrying multiple sets of armor around.

Of all the games that needed the ability to have gear appearance customization this was the one!!! And I ADORE IT!! I used to parade around in my costume armor (looked good but had inappropriate stats) all the time. Mount? Tastes vary but c’mon, you have to have a broomstick in W101!!! Why is anyone buying horses or any other four-legged creature as a Like than zooming around on a broomstick in the Wizard City. I don’t think it could be more Harry Potter No matter, I’ve adjusted my short deck accordingly and I’ve yet to die or use paid Henchman. I was VERY surprised the first time I stepped off the side walk to pick a fight. For one, every fight in Dragonspyre is like a mini-boss encounter. I can jump on and only do a couple of quests or take on some instanced bosses when I have more time.Ī lot of new content and features have been added since I last played. After re-subscribing it only took two short playing sessions to finish off Mooshu and depart that zone forever. With nothing else on my horizon and an urge to play something, I decided I’d rather give my money and micro-transaction purchases to KingsIsle than the Robber Barons of Allods. The bad press coming out about Dragonspyre, the next zone I'd hit, didn’t help. It also was taking too long to complete and felt significantly more repetitive than the previous zones. I was sure I’d adore Mooshu because of is bright zones, flowered landscapes and oriental styling but it was the zone I detested.

I expected to dislike Marleybone because of its perpetual nighttime but it ended up being my favorite zone by a landslide. A post by Ravious on Kill Ten Rats brought back fond memories of Wizard101.
